Four Points Construction was founded in 2013 by Tim Fosbery and Matthew Moore. They met while working on a custom cottage build and quickly realized they would make a great team. They both bring a unique skillset and extensive experience to the table.
Tim and Matt pride themselves on their craftmanship and attention to detail. They are always mindful of their client’s timeline and budget and believe in full transparency to ensure a smooth process. They both reside in Peterborough and are committed to building quality custom homes and cottages anywhere in the Kawartha Lakes area.
Our mission is to ensure an exceptional customer experience while delivering an outstanding product.
Meet the Team
Tim has been in construction since 2005 and is a seasoned custom home builder. Although he grew up in Toronto, he would spend summers at his parent’s cottage on Lower Buckhorn Lake.
In 2005, he moved to the Kawartha Lakes area and worked for a local heating contractor part-time while taking the Gas Technicians course at Durham College. After completing that in 2007, Tim continued working full-time with the same contractor for several more years.
In 2009, Tim decided to take a leap and enrolled in the general construction course at Fleming College. Out of his entire program, he was selected to compete in a provincial roof-framing program in Waterloo. Once Tim completed his training at Fleming College, he launched into his construction career with a custom renovation in Leaside, Toronto. This project gave him first-hand experience dealing with the city’s extensive by-laws, permitting and their committee of adjustment.
After completion, Tim was hired by Tom’s Contracting, a well-respected and reputable custom home builder in the Clear and Stoney Lake areas. He continued there as the lead foreman, working on complex boathouses, cottages and renovations for the next three years.
Matthew has worked in the construction industry since 1999. He grew up on a family farm in Lakefield and has lived in the Lakefield/Peterborough area his entire life.
Matt first discovered his passion for the trade working for a general contractor in commercial construction. In 2003, he switched to residential construction with Linwood Homes, specializing in framing, siding and trim work.
After a few years, Matt decided to move back into general contacting and in 2007, began working for a local custom home builder in Lakefield. Here he worked as the lead hand and was able to expand his skills working on custom cottages and boathouses in the Kawartha Lakes region.
Through this experience, Matt learned to appreciate the attention to detail required of custom building. This allowed him to develop his expertise even further in trim work and finishing details. Matt soon realized he possessed the skills necessary to run his own successful construction business and went out on his own in 2011.
