Four Points Construction

Our Story

Four Points Construction was founded in 2013 by co-presidents, Tim Fosbery and Matthew Moore. Both have had extensive experience in building custom homes in their respected careers. Both reside in Peterborough but are committed to building quality custom homes anywhere within the Kawartha Lakes area.

Tim Fosbery, one of the founders of Four Points Construction has been in construction since 2005 giving him 8 years of building experience. Tim grew up in Toronto and would spend his summers up north at his parent’s cottage on Lower Buckhorn Lake. In 2005 he moved up to the Kawartha Lakes area full time and got a job for a local heating contractor. There he worked part time while taking a Gas Technicians course at Durham College, which he successfully completed in 2007. After completing the course he worked full time for the same heating contractor until in 2009 when he wanted to focus on the whole picture of building and not just one aspect. He enrolled in a general construction course at Fleming College where he was selected out of the whole program to compete in a provincial roof-framing program in Waterloo. Once he completed his course he then started his career in General Contracting building his first custom renovation in Leaside, a high-end neighbourhood in Toronto, while commuting back and forth. Among completion of the project Tim had hooked up with a well-known builder in the Clear/Stoney Lake area. Tim became a lead hand for Toms Contracting for three years while completing very complex boathouses, custom cottages, renovations and remodels.

Matthew Moore, the other founder of Four Points Construction, has worked in the construction industry since 1999. Matt grew up on a family farm in Lakefield and has lived in the Lakefield/Peterborough area his entire life. Matt started in commercial construction working for a general contractor where he first discovered his passion for the trade. In 2003, Matt started working for a residential construction company building Linwood Homes where he specialized in framing, siding, and trim work. After a few years of doing this, Matt wanted to get back into general contracting, and in 2007 started working for Kawartha Lakes Construction, a custom home builder based in Lakefield. Matt worked as a lead hand where he expanded his skills working on custom cottages and boathouses in the Kawartha Lakes region. Matt learned to appreciate the finer details that are required of custom building and has developed a keen expertise and craftsmanship in trim work and other finishing details. Matt soon realized he embodied all of the skills necessary to be successful running his own construction business and went out on his own in 2011. Matt and Tim met while both working on the same custom cottage build and quickly realized they would make a great team that could feature both of their skills; thus Four Points Construction was born.
